So Eclectic
Full Circle

When I first picked up needles and yarn so many years ago, it was a crochet hook. I crocheted a ton of baby hats, and baby blankets. I made so many hats and blanket my hands started cramp. I constantly was crocheting. So, I knew I needed to try something different if my hands were cramping. So, I picked up knitting needles. Knitting was really easy for me and on my hands. So naturally I excelled in knitting. And, it resulted in many more hats, but also scarves, sweaters, Fair Isle vest and not just for babies but adults too. You name it; I knitted it at least once. And with all the knitting I became curious as to how yarn was made. So, I learned to spin yarn, I spun wool, alpaca, llama, mohair and hand dyed roving. So, of course if you spin your own yarn you naturally have to dye it yourself. Well, I am sure you know where with this story is going. I learned and tried so many new things over the years and it is interesting when you learn and master one thing you naturally want to try something else. The funny thing is after all these years; find myself wanting to crochet again.

So, I whipped up some crochet slouch hats.

They are crocheted in 100 % cotton yarn so they will be great to wear in the spring. I actual used a combination of crochet and knitting. The brim on the hat is knitted ribbing to compliment the stretch of the crochet.

In addition to the hats, I crocheted a few gypsy headbands, They are so cute. But, I will show you those next time.

Bye for now.
